This is an exploratory studio class where you be taught a variety of exciting techniques, from hand building to wheel throwing, that you will use and develop to create unique pieces of your own design. Beginners to experts welcome. Learn to use manual and electric wheels, roller, carving tools, and beautiful glazes to bring the pieces you imagine to life. Clay and glaze cost is $40.00 and can be split between two people. *No class Oct 8 (Columbus Day) or Nov 12 (Veterans Day)

In this complete personal training program you will receive assistance and coaching in both the cardio and weight rooms by our clinical exercise physiologist. Initially you and Sam will work together to set up an individualized plan that meets your fitness goals. Your plan will be modified as you progress to the next level. In this 4-week, information-rich seminar you will be introduced to the concept and practices to help you reach those goals. You will explore a conservative approach to wise money management, as well as identify lifestyle issues facing retirees. You will learn how to seek maximization of income and receive more from investments, social security and retirement plans. John will also show you how to protect hard-earned assets from erosion due to inflation or a downturn in the economy. At the conclusion of the seminar you will have evaluated your individual retirement progress. John is president of Coastal Financial Services in Kennebunkport and has taught with us since 1999. There is no additional charge if your spouse/partner attends with you.

She will be discussing the process of writing non-fiction – with a focus on how you can achieve your writing “voice,” which is essential, as it makes you a strong and distinctive writer. Nancy will also discuss how to get your work published. Please bring anything you are currently working on to class – if you are open to sharing it - as Nancy will be happy to offer some editing advice. Non-fiction work includes books, memoirs, articles and blogs.
