Printmaking
with Gayle Fitzpatrick
Students will develop a basic understanding of single and multiple block processes as they learn to design and develop a relief print by carving a linoleum block.
The class will start with students learning the general process of doing relief printing, and over the next classes Gayle will teach students how to take a drawing (or the image a student would like to make a print of) and transfer it to the linolium block. She will then teach the technique for carving out the sketch, finally getting to inking up and printing the block.
At the end of the sessions, Gayle will show you how to sign and edition your prints.
Instructor will provide materials, for a cost of $8 per person which will be payable to the instructor the first night of class.
