Building a website is no longer just for computer geeks. WordPress makes it possible for anyone to create and run a professional looking website for hobbies, or business. The goal of this class is to take anyone, even an absolute beginner and get them building a professional looking website in a few short hours. You will learn to use the WordPress dashboard; create pages and posts and know the difference between the two; create a static homepage useful for most websites; create a responsive website that looks good on a tv or a phone. By the end of the class you will be building great looking, professional websites, and be confident as you update and maintain it for years to come. Join us in the computer lab, or bring your own laptop. This class will work with any web browser.

This 180 hour course is geared to prepare you to work in a nursing home, hospital, and a home healthcare setting. The class includes preparation for and taking the State of Maine Competency Exam as well as qualifying to work in both Maine and New Hampshire facilities. Pre-requisites include: proof of high school completion or senior in good standing, I.D. (driver’s license and social security card), two letters of recommendation and a reading level of at least 9th grade (an assessment will be given as part of the interview process). Students of this course will learn how to: create and manage OneNote Notebooks, create a working notebook with multiple sections and pages, create To Do Lists ,share notebooks, search for content in your notebooks.

How to get around in Windows 10, use the Help, organize your icons, customize the taskbar, add and remove tiles from the start menu, explore the Control Panel, change the power settings, use the new start menu, backup your files, and even learn how to get Internet Explorer back.
