Make a "Fall or Halloween" Frame Art!

Want to make your own one-of-a-kind piece of art that you can give as a gift or keep for yourself. In this one-day class, Katie will bring a number of her Stampin Up tools and share different techniques to help you create your own unique art piece. Techniques that you will learn in this class include: embossing, die cutting, watercoloring, layering, and creating custom backgrounds with the use of stamps.

Please bring a 12” X 12” frame of your choice that you want your piece to be displayed in.

Yo-Yo Pumpkins

Yo-Yo’s are a fun and easy way to use up those fabric scraps sitting in your craft room. Join Mandy in this one-night class where she will show you how to make your own yo-yo pumpkins! Perfect for the fall season, these pumpkins are simple but add a creative touch to your decor. Mandy will provide materials for the class, but you are more than welcome to bring your own fabric (be sure it is 100% cotton and cut into 5” squares).

Materials fee of $2 per pumpkin payable to the instructor the first night of class.

Salem Haunted Happenings

BACK BY POPULAR DEMAND!

Join Noble Adult and Community Education this Fall as we bring you on a day trip down to Salem, Massachusets. Infamous for the witchcraft hysteria of 1692, Salem has become a destination for many who want to learn about the history of the town and the trials that took place there. From the number of museum offerings around the town, to the historical sites and shopping and resturaunt options, there is something for everyone. Some of the most popular activities include visiting the Witch Museum, taking a tour through the graveyard where the last words of the victims of the Salem Witch Trials are memorialized, and visiting filming locations from a little indie Disney movie called "Hocus Pocus." Please note that some museums (such as the Witch Museum) sell tickets on the day of starting at 12:00 a.m., so be sure to plan ahead.

The bus will be arriving at 8:15am and leaving Noble High School at 8:30am. We ask that you please arrive no later than 7:45am in order to take attendance, as well as to go over some housekeeping matters. Once in Salem, the bus will drop us off at a 10-minute drop off zone on Derby Street by the Salem Maritime National Historic Site. Once off you can begin your day of exploring! At the end of the day, the bus will be picking us back up at the same drop off zone. The bus will be leaving proptly at 8pm, so please plan to arrive back to the meetup location before then. Once we leave Salem, we will be arriving back at Noble High School around 10pm.

The cost of the trip is for the bus and does not include museums, shopping, etc. Seats are first come, first served. 

TIP: Cost of the bus includes driver gratuity. If you would like to give the driver an additional tip you are more than welcome. No refunds after September 17th (correction from the brochure date).

Holiday Centerpiece

Come and make a beautiful holiday centerpiece of fresh-cut, local evergreens which will stay fresh from Thanksgiving to Christmas!  All you need to do is replace the fresh flowers. Makes a wonderful addition to your holiday table or as a hostess gift if you are traveling.

Materials fee of $10 is due at the start of class and paid to the instructor.

Parent/Child: Handmade Holiday Goat Soap

Spend time with your kiddos and join Shana for a one night-workshop. Just in time for the holidays, NACE is excited to work with Shana to bring you a fun parent/child class based on her popular "Making Goat Milk Soap" class. In this hands-on workshop, you will learn the art of soap making with goat milk collected from Shana's herd of goats at Pond View Farm. You will get to make your own batch of six bars per team, that you'll be able to take home after they have cured for 48 hours.

$15 materials fee payable to the instructor at the start of class.

For this class, the parent will register and can bring a max of 2 children to class with them to make 1 batch of soap together. When you register, only the parent registers, you do not have to register your children separately. If you have any questions, please reach out at 207-676-3223.

Ceramic Ornaments

So many families have the wonderful holiday tradition of collecting new ornaments for each family member every Christmas. This year, add some handmade ornaments to your collection in this fun and festive ceramics class! The first class will be for ornament creation; the second class will be focused on glazing those ornaments; and the third class we will add ribbon or twine hangers to finish your lovel creations! 

*$14 for supplies payable to the instructor. Supplies fee includes creating 10-12 ornaments with glaze and ribbon/twine.

Make a Holiday Wreath or Kissing Ball

Come and get into the holiday spirit by making a wreath or kissing ball made from locally foraged greens that you can embellish with both natural berries and pine cones, learn to make your own bow, and add a variety of beautiful ornaments.

Materials fee is $25 and payable to the instructor the night of class. 

Yo-Yo Christmas Tree

Can’t get enough making fabric yo-yo’s? In this two-night class you will get to learn how to use the yo-yo to make a festive Christmas Tree decoration that will have friends and family talking. The first night of class you will learn how to make the fabric yo-yo and work to make what you will need for your tree. And in the final class you will begin to assemble the yo-yo's made using glue and various decorative pieces to create your unique tree.

You will need to bring an assortment of Christmas themed fabric cut into 5” squares (at least 50).

Materials fee of $10 payable to the instructor the first night of class.
