Building A Website for Beginners

Building a website is no longer just for computer geeks. WordPress makes it possible for anyone to create and run a professional looking website for hobbies, or business. The goal of this class is to take anyone, even an absolute beginner and get them building a professional looking website in a few short hours. You will learn to use the WordPress dashboard; create pages and posts and know the difference between the two; create a static homepage useful for most websites; create a responsive website that looks good on a tv or a phone. By the end of the class you will be building great looking, professional websites, and be confident as you update and maintain it for years to come. Join us in the computer lab, or bring your own laptop. This class will work with any web browser.

Calligraphy is the art of creating visually attractive letters and symbols using a special writing instrument. It is different than handwriting. Learn how a series of pen strokes connected together form creative words and sentences. Join this fun and interesting class and build new skills each week. Cardiovascular Training for All
with SAM PANNIER
Learn to properly use each of the cardio machines in the Fitness Center to help achieve an optimum workout! You will also learn how to achieve your target heart rate on each piece of equipment, set achievable goals, and become a confident user of fitness equipment. This class is especially geared toward avoiding injury when using fitness equipment at home or in any fitness center.

Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA)

This 180 hour course is geared to prepare you to work in a nursing home, hospital, and a home healthcare setting. The class includes preparation for and taking the State of Maine Competency Exam as well as qualifying to work in both Maine and New Hampshire facilities. Pre-requisites include: proof of high school completion or senior in good standing, I.D. (driver’s license and social security card), two letters of recommendation and a reading level of at least 9th grade (an assessment will be given as part of the interview process). Christmas Wreath/Kissing Ball

Join Elizabeth for an aroma-filled evening as she shows you how to arrange fresh greens into a lovely seasonal wreath or kissing ball. Embellishments will be available for purchase or bring your own and let Elizabeth help you create a balanced piece. Materials fee of $12 per item is paid directly to instructor. Additional greens available for purchase while supply lasts. Bring gardening gloves, snips, and your holiday spirit! *NOTE Location: Lebanon Elementary School Cafeteria

Civics Literacy for U. S. Citizenship

This class is designed using the process needed to attain citizenship in a democratic society. You will build the literacy skills needed and the knowledge required to become a U.S. citizen. Lessons include how our country was formed, important U.S. texts and governing documents. This class is funded through an AEFLA grant and may be taken more than once.
