Gentle Beginner Slow Flow Yoga - Session 2

Join us for a class in Hatha Yoga led by certified instructor, Nancy Cotty. The focus will be on stretching and breathing while building strength and finding peace. We will stretch the whole body and add some gentle flow to our practice. All levels are welcome. Yoga classes are ongoing. There will be sessions taking us into the late spring. Drop-ins are welcome and new students can join anytime. *No class April 17

Getting to Know Your iPad

Bring your iPad to this 3-night class and learn the basics. Your new iPad came with some cool apps, do you know how to use them? Learn how to use your calendar, manage your contacts, take notes, use your camera, and make video calls with Face Time. Be sure to bring your fully charged iPad or iPad mini to class. This class would also be helpful if you want to learn more about your iPhone.

Getting to Know Your Serger

Dust off your serger and learn how easy it is to use! We will start with serger threading and maintenance, then learn basic stitches. Discover how easy it is to tie on and off and to sew perfect curves and corners. We will finish up by creating a pretty and functional personal scrap caddy designed to catch your serger cast-offs and keep your most needed tools close at hand. Bring your serger to class, along with 2 needles, 4 different colors of thread and any accessories that you have. Your instructor will provide fabric samples and instructions. Max is 4 so register today!

 

Grow an Herb Garden

In this one-night class, you will learn how to plant and maintain an herb garden. Elizabeth will teach you how to prepare the soil, plant several types of herb seeds and how to keep those fresh herbs healthy. You will also learn how to harvest and use your herbs in your cooking. Bring your own planter or some may be purchased at a low cost. Seeds will be provided. * Location: Hanson School Art Room

Market your services or products without breaking the bank! Writer and artist Nancy McCallum will discuss effective and low- or no-cost ways to use social media, websites and blogs to promote yourself. People want to know the “story” behind your business and Nancy will show you how to make your story compelling. Nancy will also talk about writing press releases and generating interest from the media about you and your business. If you want to learn how to get the word out about your small business, this class is for you!

 

Intermediate Drawing

Let your creative juices flow in this class where you will engage in sequential learning experiences that encompass aesthetics and production leading to the creation of portfolio quality work! You will learn various techniques to different approaches of drawing through the use of pens, pencils, inks and charcoals. You will also critique your own and others’ work in a positive atmosphere.

Students have raved about Beth’s quality of beads and requested she return. Learn to make your own beaded jewelry with a variety of skills and materials. Get tips and suggestions on how to create a unique piece of jewelry. All levels welcome! Material fee depends on the project you select: earrings, bracelet or necklace. Minimum materials fee of $5 to be paid to instructor.
