Zumba - 6 Sessions

NACE is excited to welcome back instructor Maribel Despres and her zumba classes! 

Join Maribel at Noble High School in North Berwick, where you can take the “work” out of workout! She mixes low-intensity and high-intensity moves for a calorie-burning dance fitness party. Zumba is a total workout, combining all elements of fitness – cardio, muscle conditioning, balance and flexibility. There will be class sessions offered Monday and Wednesday evenings.

Wear comfortable clothes and shoes with little to no tread to reduce twisting knee joints. At this time, masks are required. 

*No Class October 10

Gentle Beginner Hatha Yoga - 6 Week

Join us for a class in Hatha Yoga led by certified instructor, Nancy Cotty from Peace Within Yoga. Yoga is a great way to relax and improve your health and well being. The focus will be on stretching and breathing while building our strength and finding peace. All levels are welcome. Drop-ins are welcome and new students can join anytime. All equipment will be provided for you. Information learned through yoga classes and workshops should not be considered a substitute for medical advice.

You will be encouraged to try the manual and electric wheels, roller, carving tools, and beautiful glazes to bring the pieces you imagine to life. Beginners to experts welcome.

How do you keep track of the day-to-day financial transactions of a business?  Whether you are looking to advance in your career, or you’re an entrepreneur, (or maybe you are a part of a family business), this course will help you if you are looking to understand the numbers.  The Basics of Bookkeeping course will help you understand, and know how to record, every penny that comes into your business and every penny that goes out of your business.  This course shows you how to create a chart of accounts that meet your needs.   All of the money you spend, and all of the money you earn, have a place to go.  How do your record them?  What are debits and credits?  What do the numbers mean?  How do I label accounts?  Even if you outsource your bookkeeping needs, you should still have a basic understand of what happens with the money earned and the money spent.  No one should be blind to his or her finances!  In this course you will learn where the numbers go, and why! 

You will learn the bookkeeping terminology as well as what it means to keep track of the numbers.  At the end of the cycle, what do the numbers mean?  The Basics of Bookkeeping will show you how to keep track of the numbers and why!

Is My House Haunted?

This two-hour comprehensive is part of the 12-hour course on Parapsychology. This approaches the concept of Haunted Houses from a scientific perspective covering many of the theories as to why someone would think that their house is haunted.Please bring a pen and a water bottle.

Walt owns and runs Parasykes-Parapsychological Investigations, and began his studies in Parapsychology in 1986.

Mystery 9-Patch Sample Lap Quilt

Learn how to cut prisms, clip squares, parallelograms, trapezoids, kite and 45 degree diamonds. We will also review triangles, half-square triangles, and quarter-square triangles.

The 9th square will incorporate 2 patterns in one square.

You can use the same color scheme throughout the quilt, or you can make each square a different color scheme, with the background color incorporated in each square, then sash in one color.

We will be doing 2 squares per class for the first 4 weeks. During the 5th week, we will do the 2 squares in one, and during the 6th week we will sew the squares together and apply borders if time allows.

Wire Wrap Pendant Full Series

Can't get enough of Wire Wrapping- Each week is a different project. Sign up for 1 or all 3 of these projects. Take this class to learn different tecniques involved in making your own wire wrapped pendant. All levels of experience are welcome- let's get wrapping!  

$5 material fee per project payable to the instructor at the start of class. Feel free to bring your own stone.

*Bring round nose jewelry pliers if you have a pair. Additional kits will be available for purchase.
