Tai Chi for Heart Conditions - Virtual

Medical and Tai Chi experts designed Tai Chi Heart (TCH) to be safe, easy to learn, and effective for mature adults of all ability levels. This program is designed to improve balance, flexibility, immunity and relaxation, placing emphasis on building energy related to the heart and heart health. Dr. Lam’s team has incorporated medical research and Traditional Chinese Medicine as in all his Tai Chi for Health programs. Please wear loose clothing and flat-bottom shoes suitable for exercise.

Beginner Wire Wrapped Jewelry

Learn how to make a simple yet elegant pendant with a semiprecious stone of your choice and sterling silver or copper wire. There will be a variety of stones to choose from and options for hanging your pendant including leather or chain. Please bring a hand towel, to work on and wire clippers, and needle nose pliers if you have them. Tools and supplies will be available if you don’t have them.
Materials cost begin at $5.00/ pendant depending on your choice of materials. Leather is included in the initial cost; chains are extra. All material are paid directly to the instructor at the beginning of class.
Friday Night Quilting

Finish those UFO’s or start a new one. Pick up helpful tips from fellow stitchers and make new friends! Escape those constant interruptions at home for over five hours of sewing and camaraderie. Show and tell is encouraged, and no one is too new to join in the fun! Bring handwork or your sewing machine and supplies. Iron, ironing board, cutting mats and rulers supplied.

Gentle Beginner Hatha Yoga

Join us for a class in Hatha Yoga led by certified instructor, Nancy Cotty from Peace Within Yoga. Yoga is a great way to relax and improve your health and well being. The focus will be on stretching and breathing while building our strength and finding peace. All levels are welcome. Yoga classes are ongoing-there will be sessions taking us through the school year.. Drop-ins are welcome and new students can join anytime. All equipment will be provided for you. Information learned through yoga classes and workshops should not be considered a substitute for medical advice.
