Hip Opener Workshop



Calendar Nov 1, 2017 at 6 pm, runs for 1 week

This workshop is designed to loosen and stretch the hip joint so that movement in that area is easier and less tense. We will combine restorative yoga poses with some that will increase flexibility and strengthen the body (especially the hip joints). Much of what is covered can be done at home so you can continue opening the hips and leg muscles on your own. General Information for Yoga Classes: All equipment will be provided. Information learned through a yoga class should not be considered a substitute for medical advice. All yoga classes have a drop-in fee of $12.00 per week. No senior discount.

Holiday Angel Ornaments



Calendar Nov 1, 2017 at 6 pm, runs for 1 week

Make beautiful angel ornaments for yourself or family and friends. Choose from two different styles and make as many as you like. Please bring a hot glue gun. Materials of $5.00 payable to instructor. Additional materials may be purchased to make additional angels at home.

Jewelry Design



Calendar Oct 25, 2017 at 6 pm, runs for 1 week

Learn to create your own beaded jewelry using a variety of skills and materials. Get tips and suggestions to help you create a unique piece of jewelry. All levels welcome! Cost of materials depends on the project you select: earrings, bracelet or necklace. Material fee: minimum of $5 to be paid to instructor.


Little Boy’s Vest & Tie Class

Mandala Coloring

Mandala coloring as a way to de-stress and meditate has become popular among adults. In various spiritual traditions, mandalas are employed for focusing attention of practitioners and adepts, as a spiritual guidance tool, and for establishing a sacred space. We will be coloring Mandalas and listening to meditation music. Join us to learn more about this take-anywhere stress-reduction tool.


Maple Leaf Block Quilt

You’ll want to add this fall inspired lap quilt to your “to do” list! Size: 64” x 76” made from 20 (12-inch blocks). Use a variety of fall colored batik fabrics to create this warm and colorful quilt. This is a great quilt for beginners or for those of us who want to clean out a bit of stash. Skills will include half square triangle blocks, color selection, pressing correctly, and using tools safely.

Materials:  You will need about 5  yards in all, of batiks in orange, green, red, purples, and browns. 2/3 yard for inner border, cut into (8) 2 ½ inch strips and 2 ¼ yards for outer border, cut into (8) 6 ½ inch strips.

Combine meditation with writing, art and music.  Through guided imagery with music & breathing exercises use your 5 senses to write your stories, sketch and gain insights. Discover a deeply cathartic, relaxing practice. Six sessions in all, this class meets on Tuesdays on the following dates only: Sept 26, Oct 10, Oct 24, Nov 7, Nov 28 and Dec 12.
