Introductory Exploration of Woven Quilting
with Brenda Gagne
Years ago, I purchased the book “Simply Stunning Woven Quilts” by Anna Faustino, and began playing with the concept of woven quilting. This technique is a great way to use abandoned blocks and/or assemble blocks from scraps that set a seasonal tone. In this class you will make two blocks then weave them using the techniques from the book to create a background. Go to www.nobleadulted.org for a list of materials and tools.
Stack the Deck Quilt
with Pat Vermette
This quilt block is so, so much fun to make and you can make a whole quilt in a weekend! It is a wonderful way to use up leftover fabric. You can make all 12 blocks in a just few hours. I have made many, many of these quilts. You have the option to put the blocks side by side in an all over crazy patchwork pattern or add sashing between the blocks or put them on point. You can also make it with a stain glass look. This pattern is great to make tote bags or a quilted jacket. Beginner friendly.
