Learn basic camera operations, design and composition along with editing. This class is a hands on experience which will allow you to learn and practice for 5 weeks. Some of the topics covered will be the exposure triangle, lenses, tripods, white balance, rule of thirds, composition, processing, folders, spot healing, resizing photos for distribution. Learn lots of little tricks along the way. Bring your camera and manual for a fun and easy to understand experience. Let’s get creative with pizza dough and have some fun in the kitchen! We will be rolling and twisting pizza dough to make Pizza Rolls, Monkey Bread, and did you know that fruit is delicious on a pizza too? Becky’s two favorite places to be are the kitchen and the classroom, and she will show you how to create meals with your chef assistant that the whole family will enjoy. Materials fee of $5 due to instructor. Limit: 5 parent-child teams.

The result is a fluffy, cozy quilt to snuggle under when you need an extra layer to keep out the chill. This quick and easy, no-fail quilt measures 50” wide and 55” long.

Reiki Level II

This course is offered through Di-Al Reiki at their studio located in North Berwick. In this combination of lecture, discussion and experience, you will learn the Reiki II symbols and how to use them during practice time. Practice time includes giving and receiving a complete Reiki treatment using all the hand positions, the self-treatment, and practice using all the Level II symbols including distant healing. Students will earn a class certificate and CEs and CEUs for nurses and massage therapists are provided. Prerequisite: Must have taken Reiki Level I class. Runestone Kit

Rune stones are the oldest original works of writing in Scandinavia. Runes are the letters in a set of related alphabets known as runic alphabets. Today and throughout recent history, runes tones are used as a personal guide. Learn how you use these stones and create a kit.

Sea Glass Necklace

Artist Nancy McCallum will teach you how to create necklaces using sea glass. She will show you several necklace designs and teach you how to wrap the glass in wire and use beads and other findings to create your own beautiful piece. Nancy will provide the sea glass pieces, necklace cord, wire, beads, findings and tools. There is a materials fee of $15, which is paid directly to the instructor. A sample necklace is on display in the NACE glass case.

Sewing & Quilt Weekend - Session 1

Finish those PhD’s (projects half done), start a new one, pick up tips from fellow stitchers and make new friends! Escape those constant interruptions at home for over eleven hours of sewing and camaraderie. Show and tell is encouraged and no one is too new to join in the fun! Bring handwork or your sewing machine and supplies. Irons, ironing boards, cutting mats and rulers supplied. Registration requires a minimum of 10 and a maximum of 20. Senior Discount: $7. One day cost: $10.
