Basket Creations: Confetti Bowl

Using an 8” solid round base and colorful spokes, you’ll be able to weave this simple round basket, perfect for fruit or a bread basket. Materials fee of $16 payable to instructor the night of class. We are looking forward to Martha’s return to NACE to share her creative ideas and unique style. Supply list: mop sized bucket, sturdy shears, tape measure, pencil, 12 spring type clothespins, jack knife, spray bottle, and an old towel.

Come to create a woven bottomed sturdy “D” handled rectangular basket! Add color of your choice to personalize your basket. Materials fee of $16 payable to instructor the night of class. This sturdy basket is created with an open weave twining and can hold up to two pounds of onions or garlic. The basket measures 7” in diameter, 10” tall, and has a handle. A $7 material fee is payable to instructor the night of class. Supply list: mop sized bucket, sturdy shears, tape measure, pencil, 12 spring type clothespins, jack knife, spray bottle, and an old towel.

Multiple indoor and outdoor walking routes go throughout the Noble High School property! The indoor routes range from 1/3 of a mile to 1/2 mile. If you’re feeling up for a challenge, you have the option of including stairs in your workout. Outdoor routes are closer to a mile in distance. To join just drop by the adult education office to pick up a name tag and sign in. The rest is up to you and your walking buddies. This is a family friendly environment. Nutrition materials provided by Choose To Be Healthy Coalition. No charge, but must register.

 

Beginner Drawing

Develop the skills to draw what you see. You will begin with the basics: contour, perspective, value, shading, composition, and gesture. Moving on, you will do observational drawing using line, gesture, shape, value and texture to record and interpret reality. Students should bring a sketchbook (9" x 12" or larger), pencils of various weights: 2B, 3B, 4B, and an eraser.

Calligraphy is the art of creating visually attractive letters and symbols using a special writing instrument. It is different than handwriting. Learn how a series of pen strokes connected together form creative words and sentences. Join this fun and interesting class and build new skills each week. Cardiovascular Training for All

Learn to properly use each of the cardio machines in the Fitness Center to help achieve an optimum workout! You will also learn how to achieve your target heart rate on each piece of equipment, set achievable goals, and become a confident user of fitness equipment. This class is especially geared toward avoiding injury when using fitness equipment at home or in any fitness center.

Christmas Wreath/Kissing Ball

Join Elizabeth for an aroma-filled evening as she shows you how to arrange fresh greens into a lovely seasonal wreath or kissing ball. Embellishments will be available for purchase or bring your own and let Elizabeth help you create a balanced piece. Materials fee of $12 per item is paid directly to instructor. Additional greens available for purchase while supply lasts. Bring gardening gloves, snips, and your holiday spirit! *NOTE Location: Lebanon Elementary School Cafeteria
