Beginner Woodcarving

Welcome to the wonderful world of woodcarving! Be inspired and challenged by the project lessons as you find joy and satisfaction in this wonderful craft. You will complete two projects to develop your carving skills. You will get step by step instructions on how to do basic cuts, sharpen your tools, and develop safe carving techniques. Sewing & Quilt Weekend - Session 3

Calendar Aug 24, 2018 at 6 pm, runs for 1 week

Finish those PhD’s (projects half done), start a new one, pick up tips from fellow stitchers and make new friends! Escape those constant interruptions at home for over eleven hours of sewing and camaraderie. Show and tell is encouraged and no one is too new to join in the fun! Bring handwork or your sewing machine and supplies. Irons, ironing boards, cutting mats and rulers supplied. Registration requires a minimum of 10 and a maximum of 15. Senior Discount: $7. One day cost: $10.


The Art of Chip Carving

Chip carving is a very relaxing and rewarding craft. In this class you will learn basic chip carving, including how to sharpen and hold the knife, as well as proper layout, and you will create a unique piece to take home. Carving knife available through instructor for $17 to $24. Materials fee of $7 paid directly to instructor.
