Bringing Community Together, One Step At A Time

Since 2001, we have opened our doors to welcome community members to walk our multiple indoor and outdoor walking routes throughout the Noble High School property. Indoor routes range from 1/3 to 1/2 mile. If you’re up for a challenge, you have the option of including stairs in your workout. The outdoor routes are about a mile in distance. This is a great way to get in some exercise, especially during the cold New England months. Bring a friend or come as a family. All are welcome! Not to mention, joining is FREE!

To join, just drop by the main office to sign in and pick up a name tag. When you're done, you just sign out and drop off your name tag. Join the fun and become a Noble Strider!

Sew for "Dress A Girl"

Free

with NACE Staff

Calendar Next available session starts Sep 9, 2025 at 10 am

Every girl deserves at least one dress. Since October 2009, "Dress A Girl Around The World" has reached over 81 countries with a recorded number of over one million dresses delivered to girls in need around the world. Recently, we spoke with the Maine DAG Ambassador, Jane, who is in need of help with sewing menstral pads and dresses for girls in need.

We will be holding 9 sewing dates for those who are interested in volunteering their time to sew. You can stay the whole time or for a few hours; any help is appreciated. If there are more requests for sewing days, we will update that information on our website and social media. Feel free to bring a lunch with you; the sewing room at NACE has a refrigerator you can keep your food/drinks in.

We do ask volunteers to please register for the days they wish to come in and sew to be sure the sewing room and supplies are all ready.

BACK BY POPULAR DEMAND!

Join Noble Adult and Community Education this Fall as we bring you on a day trip down to Salem, Massachusetts. Infamous for the witchcraft hysteria of 1692, Salem has become a destination for many who want to learn about the history of the town and the trials that took place there. From the number of museum offerings around the town, to the historical sites and shopping and resturaunt options, there is something for everyone. Some of the most popular activities include visiting the Witch Museum, taking a tour through the graveyard where the last words of the victims of the Salem Witch Trials are memorialized, and visiting filming locations from a little indie Disney movie called "Hocus Pocus." Please note that some museums (such as the Witch Museum) sell tickets on the day of starting at 12:00 a.m., so be sure to plan ahead.

The bus will be arriving at 8:15am and leaving Noble High School at 8:30am. We ask that you please arrive no later than 7:45am in order to take attendance, as well as to go over some housekeeping matters. Once in Salem, the bus will drop us off at a 10-minute drop off zone on Derby Street by the Salem Maritime National Historic Site. Once off you can begin your day of exploring! At the end of the day, the bus will be picking us back up at the same drop off zone. The bus will be leaving proptly at 8pm, so please plan to arrive back to the meetup location before then. Once we leave Salem, we will be arriving back at Noble High School around 10pm.

The cost of the trip is for the bus and does not include museums, shopping, etc. Seats are first come, first served.

TIP: Cost of the bus includes driver gratuity. If you would like to give the driver an additional tip you are more than welcome. No refunds after September 17th (correction from the brochure date).

NACE has irons, ironing boards, cutting mats, and rulers available to use during class time. If you need to borrow a sewing machine, please let us know ahead of the class.
