Acrylic Painting Studio: Choose Your Subject

Discover the joy of acrylic painting in this welcoming studio workshop where you can choose the subject that inspires you most! Students may select from two creative options: Peaceful Landscapes or Pet Portraits & Favorite Animals. Each option is a complete 2-night workshop experience, or choose to take both for a fuller creative journey.

In each session, you'll be guided step by step through creating a finished acrylic painting while building confidence with foundational techniques such as composition, color theory, and color mixing.

• Peaceful Landscapes: Explore how to capture light, depth, and atmosphere as you create a scenic landscape.

• Pet Portraits & Favorite Animals: Learn techniques for bringing personality, expression, and texture to a beloved pet or favorite animal.

Whether you're painting a meaningful place or a cherished companion, these relaxed studio-style evenings offer a supportive space to learn, create, and enjoy the process of making art. Each student will leave with a finished piece and a deeper understanding of acrylic painting techniques.

Learn the basics of the Nashville Number System, a simple and effective method used by musicians to understand chord progressions and play songs in any key. Students will explore how the system works, practice reading number charts, and gain tools to communicate more easily with other musicians.

Gather, create, and celebrate the season!

Join instructor Beth Goody for a cozy one-night class and design a beautiful holiday centerpiece to enjoy throughout the season. Using fresh-cut flowers, seasonal greenery, and festive accents, you’ll create a versatile arrangement base that can be easily refreshed as the seasons change. Beth will share techniques for arranging and layering decorative elements so you can swap out select pieces and transition your centerpiece from fall gatherings and Thanksgiving into winter and holiday celebrations.

No experience is needed—this class is all about enjoying a fun and festive evening, connecting with others, and bringing home a beautiful handmade décor piece to enjoy all season long.

Materials fee of $10 is payable to the instructor at the start of class.

 Join us for a fun, no pressure knitting experience! This knitting class is great for not only beginners, but for anyone who may be a little rusty. You'll learn how to cast on, master the basic and purl stitches, learn some tips and tricks on repairing mistakes, and learn how to read a pattern! Vicky is a passionate knitter and always makes classes fun for her students. 

Materials to bring to class: 
• Size 7 Knitting Needles
• 1 pair of small scissors
• Tape measure
• 1 light color Supersaver Red Heart Yarn (7 Ounces)

Get into the holiday spirit with a cozy morning of creativity! In this Saturday, family-friendly class, you'll paint your own premade Maine-themed ceramic ornaments—think moose, lighthouses, lobsters, and more—perfect for gifting or adding a personal touch to your holiday décor. Sip on hot cocoa while you paint, chat, and enjoy a festive, no-stress morning that’s fun for all ages. All materials (and marshmallows!) provided.

Cost of the class includes 4 pre-made ceramic ornaments, paint, and ribbon!

These beautiful, fragrant decorations will last the entire season and bring a festive touch to your home. Feel free to bring your own decorative touches to personalize your project! No experience needed-just come ready to have fun and get into the holiday spirit!

A materials fee of $25 is  due to the instructor at the start of the class. Materials include fresh cut greens, ribbon and embellishments.

The five-string banjo is a blast to play! If you’ve got a yen for learning to play the five-string that has been sitting in a closet, your time has arrived!Even if you don’t have a banjo, your time is now! We can help you find one if you’re keen to learn to play this magical instrument. Our program is an introduction to the five-string banjo for absolute beginners (be aware 0 a four string banjo won’t do for this course). Together with instructor Duncan Perry, you’ll cover banjo setup, tuning, and care, then focus on learning the folk style playing popularized be Pete Seeger, and explore the clawhammer style used by country and old-time enthusiasts like Grandpa Jones, Riley Baugus, and Rhiannon Giddens. The goal is to set you on a path to developing your own style of banjo playing. If you don’t have access to a playable five-string banjo, we’ll put you in touch with Duncan who can advise about buying one. After all, every day should be a banjo day!

Gel Plate Printing is a dynamic and fun way to express yourself through creating monoprints on a soft, pliable gel plate.  Each one-of-a-kind print is as individual as the person creating it and requires no prior art skills to do. In class you will learn what gel plate printing is, how to do it using several different techniques, and be provided with the materials needed to create a variety of prints. 

This class is so much fun & expected to fill up fast so sign up early!
