Meditation for Managing Anxiety & Stress

$25

with Valerie Lofaso

Calendar Next available session starts Dec 3, 2026 at 6 pm
2 additional sessions through Feb 4, 2027

This class will introduce you to foundational techniques like breath awareness and body scans to cultivate mindfulness, reduce stress, and improve focus in a supportive setting, covering basic postures, different styles (mindfulness, loving-kindness), and practical tips for integrating stillness and present-moment awareness into daily life to achieve inner calm and well-being.

You will receive guided instruction and practice core methods, focusing primarily on breath awareness (noticing inhales/exhales) and mindfulness: understand how to gently redirect wandering thoughts back to the present moment without judgment, using the breath as an anchor.

Ideal for anyone curious about meditation or who has tried and found it difficult, anyone looking to manage anxiety and stress, or anyone seeking to enhance mental clarity and attention. You will leave with practical, simple tools to start a personal practice, realizing that meditation is a skill that develops with consistent, non-judgmental effort, not about achieving perfect stillness.

”The wound is the place where the Light enters you” -Rumi

The archetype of Pluto may represent both your greatest gift and your deepest wound. According to astrology, its placement in your birth chart speaks to an empowerment journey through which you may be learning and evolving. In this workshop you will gain insight on how to interpret Pluto in a birth chart.

There are no prerequisites for the class. Participants are encouraged to email their birth information (date, place, time) to the instructor, Rob at rob@innercenterastrology.com, prior to the start of the class. He will provide a copy of your birth chart in class. It would be optimal to have your exact birth time available (documented on your birth certificate) but is not necessary.
